ZYC Energy Supports Off-Grid Power Upgrade at Nomad Farms with MyEnergy Engineering
ZYC Energy is proud to share another successful off-grid power project in collaboration with our trusted partner, MyEnergy Engineering. This time, we’ve helped power up Nomad Farms, a regenerative farming operation in Finniss, South Australia, with a tailored energy storage solution built for reliability, scalability, and year-round efficiency.

A Farm Committed to Sustainability
Located just over an hour south of Adelaide, Nomad Farms is known for its pasture-raised poultry and livestock, operating with a deep focus on sustainable land care. In a region where grid infrastructure is limited, dependable off-grid power isn’t just a convenience — it’s essential for keeping operations moving and maintaining cool storage, processing equipment, and daily farm activities.

The Challenge: Growing Energy Demands
As the farm expanded, its existing power setup struggled to keep up with rising energy needs. Limited grid capacity and increasing operational demands meant a scalable, stand-alone solution was needed — one that could deliver reliable, clean power without heavy reliance on generators.

ZYC SIMPO Batteries: Powering the New System
To meet these requirements, MyEnergy Engineering designed and installed a custom off-grid system equipped with ZYC Energy’s SIMPO 5000. Chosen for their durability, modular scalability, and performance in remote environments, these batteries are central to the farm’s upgraded power infrastructure.

System Highlights:
Solar Array: 19.36kW Jinko Tiger Solar Panels
Inverter: 15kVA Victron Quattro 48/15000
Battery Storage: 40.96kWh ZYC SIMPO 5000
Additional Components:
2 × Victron SmartSolar MPPT RS 450/200
Victron Cerbo GX for system management and monitoring

To streamline the process and minimise on-site disruption, the entire system was prebuilt offsite in a weather- and vermin-proof cabinet, then installed in the farm’s main shed. Solar panels mounted on the shed roof maximise available space and ensure efficient solar generation.

Reliable, Scalable, and Future-Ready
Today, Nomad Farms benefits from a dependable, scalable off-grid power system that supports its daily operations while reducing generator use and operating costs. Designed for long-term growth and minimal maintenance, the system ensures the farm stays productive — even through unpredictable weather and seasonal demand peaks.

Partnering with Off-Grid Power Experts
MyEnergy Engineering continues to lead the way in delivering custom off-grid power systems to remote and regional Australia. Their commitment to renewable energy solutions aligns perfectly with ZYC Energy’s mission to provide sustainable, high-performance storage systems that empower communities and businesses where the grid won’t go.

ZYC Energy remains dedicated to advancing renewable energy storage solutions, helping build a cleaner, more resilient future — one off-grid project at a time.
